I just recently heard his music for the first time. Up and down, listening to Scott Walker’s music is truly a crazy ride. Some songs less tolerable than others, I can’t say I am a fan of everything he has done but I have found some real gems none the less. Since I am no music critic; more of a lover, lets talk of his tracks I do like. Next being my favorite song, I can’t help but think of how bizarre, almost mad his lyrics are. At the time this album was recorded, 1968, I think this was some pretty shocking stuff to have come from a mainstream artist. Can’t say for sure but one can only imagine looking inward at a Brady Bunch society that the word fag and gonorrhea were never sang in a pop song. Is gonorrhea capital g?

I bought an album by the Beastie Boys entitled The In Sound from Way Out. It was an all instrumental based L.P. that they released in the mid 90’s. Months later I was flipping through a vintage magazine I found in my father’s store. With staggering synchronicity, I get to the back of the magazine and there it was; An advertisement for The In Sound from Way Out. With an almost identical album cover I was confused to say the least. Using what little resources I had to look this up (internet was almost non existent for me), I found this little gem I bring to you today. You can say that Perrey & Kingsley we’re one of the first mainstream electronic acts ever. I am sure someone out there was tweaking buttons and knobs at the same time, maybe even earlier... but not to the success like Perrey & Kingsley saw.

I remember digging in my father’s vinyl collection and finding this gem many moons ago. Never, even till this day, have I heard a song that can invoke my body to move the way it does when I hear this song. Watching this video only makes the whole listening experience even more enjoyable.
